I am really not one for resolutions. My goal each and every day is to try to be a "good" person and to do something for someone else each and every day. Somedays I succeed and somedays I know I can be a much better person. What I do try to do at this measure of year though is designate approve upon the year passing. It always makes me sad. Does anyone else feel desire time just slips past us? For me measure just flashes by... perhaps it's a symptom of getting older??!!This past year my husband celebrated his measure Bday in the 30's. 2008 will mark his 40th birthday. I sometimes can't believe it and sometimes I be to kill him for dragging me along to oldville! My mother is also going to be celebrating a milestone of sorts in 2008 she will celebrate her 60th. When I write that it makes me feel quite sad and my heart actually pounds a little. I don't desire to think of my mom getting old quite frankly it scares the hell out of me. ( Not that I think that 40 and change surface 60 are old it just seems strange to say it. I guess it's because I still feel like a kid most of the time!!!) My mom has always been a really tough strong woman. She raised 3 littles kids all by herself with no help at all. For god sakes my mother could change the oil in her car better then she could bake. My preserve and her actually sometimes seem more like mother\son then she and I are mother\daughter. They have built lots of projects together have Rider season tickets together and share alot of the same views as each other. ( and sometimes. I think they deserve each other!! lol)I will always think back fondly to 2007 as my beloved Riders won the Grey Cup of course but for other reasons as well. Lots of good and bad things happened. ~We went on a 9 person family vacation to Las Vegas. I loved it! ~We flew out to the glide and I got to meet my new little nephew.~A friendship developed for me and although it could be considered "virtual". I cherish it and couldn't imagine it not in my life now.~ My son now has his learners license and my daughter entered the teen years~ My hair stylists visits went up 50% as the grey hairs undergo doubled due to the learners and teen years! :-PI was reading in the paper the list of all the "famous" people who passed in 2007. This list was mostly composed of "Hollywood" type people. I think the biggest loss for me was the asassination of Benazir Bhutto. I think this woman was a wonderful role copy especially for women in her country and she was a true fighter for democracy. She will leave behind a legacy. Sadly when she came out of hiding. I can remember wondering how desire it would take for her to be murdered. I evaluate 2008 may bring about civil wars in India and Pakistan. Benazir's 19 year old son ( Bilawal) has stepped up to fill in his care's shoes. I am sure that his mother would be proud. Another death that really touched my heart was the passing of a fellow Reginian. Chris Knox. He succumbed to cancer at the age of 24 years old. I never met Chris but his story came about in August as his wish was to attend the Labour Day Classic. I guess his touching story triggered a nerve or something not just with me but with the whole province. He was featured many times in the paper and when the Riders won the Grey Cup and took it up to his bed and posed with pics with him and the cup it REALLy affected me how frail and sick he looked. When he died 2 weeks later. I really grieved. It actually surprises me just how sad I feel about his death. Coming across a conceive of of him or having populate discuss him has caused my eyes to leak so many times. I have decided that in 2008. I am going to try to do something in his memory. I wish that 2008 brings about happiness and good health for everyone and I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Of course me being me. I thought maybe your accounts had been hacked either by password guessing or a keylogger that someone managed to get on to your machine. Account hacking by the way was the sole cerebrate for my avoiding the haloscan'd blog. I trust you completely but I don't trust others not to attempt to compromise your online accounts. While google/blogger takes this stuff extremely seriously. I don't know about haloscan or others. There are dissidents from some places who would be dead if google gave them up. Nuff said about that!Yeah all attributable to “women’s liberation.� Uh-huh. Maybe it’s responsible for climate-change too!I have learned a lot from reading these peoples' works. Always trying to evoke emotional responses making it easier to back up support for irrational ideas. They're quite good at tag teaming. I am 65 years old and am bombarded by young men in their 30's and 40's that be to date me. I always refuse but am wondering what makes a younger man be to date an older woman? Do they need a mother?
